WinPalace and the group of US-facing casinos that were owned by the parent company were some of the worst in the online gambling world. Though they’re out of business now, they earned their 1 out of 10 rating well before the owners were arrested.
Learn more about the arrest in the complaints section as well as why the group was so bad even before the end.
WinPalace Casino used Real Time Gaming software and built a reputation for bonuses that were hard to clear, slow payouts, unreasonable documentation requests, and overall bad customer service. They only offered casino games while they were open. You couldn’t play poker or place sports bets.
In hindsight, it’s amazing that WinPalace existed as long as it did, but they did a good job of taking care of their affiliate partners for many years which guarantee their presence on many sites. This is a common practice for bad online casinos. They take care of people who have a financial interest to promote them while stealing from the players.
The casino views most players as one deposit and done or at least as depositors only. They don’t plan to pay out any winnings so they can afford to pay the people who advertise for them and still make a killing.
Win Palace was part of the Affactive group and was tied to the Revenue Jet group. Both of these groups were placed on blacklists while in operation and won awards for the worst casino group numerous years at Casinomeister.
Casinos other than WinPalace in this group included Begado, Slots Jungle, Casino Titan, Slots of Fortune, Golden Cherry, Jackpot Grand, OnBling, Ruby Royal, Grand Parker, Classy Coin, and Loco Panda.
Casinomeister listed the Affactive group as the worst casino group in three out of four years and listed all of the Winpalace casinos on the rogue page. The forum is also filled with complaints about not being paid and bad bonus situations.
Even when big winners did get paid, the casino would reduce the amount they paid out each week to as low as $500. This may seem reasonable on the outside, but if you won $10,000 or more it could take months or years to receive all of your money.
The casino knew that if they kept your money as long as possible you’d be more likely to start gambling with it again and lose it.
Here’s a link to a complaint about the payout issues with Win Palace dating back to 2010. This casino didn’t just wake up one day and decide to start taking advantage of their players. They employed a long list of bad behavior over the years to maximize their winnings and make players lose all of their deposits.
The following two links have details about the arrest of the men behind Win Palace Casino. They didn’t get arrested for anything to do with online gambling. The casinos were just a small part of their criminal empire.
The interesting thing is if they’d run the casinos honestly they could have still made a great deal of money and not faced charges for their gambling operation.
The main people arrested were Gery Shalon and Ziv Orenstein.
You can find hundreds of complaints about WinPalace and the other casinos they were associated with. You don’t need to search for more than the ones I listed here because they all follow the same theme and the casinos are all closed now.
What you can do is keep an eye out for other casinos that start down the same path.
They all seem to start with slow payouts and unreasonable requests to delay payouts even more. Many also have huge bonus offers that look good at first but make it impossible to clear the bonus while having any money to cash out. Then if you hit a big win they keep the amount you can cash out limited every week or month.
If you see other online casinos and gambling establishments following this path you should find somewhere else to play. Any gambling site I list as 8 or higher is safe and offers top of the line experiences. Even the ones with a 6 or 7 tend to offer a safe experience, so you can find plenty of options here.
Win Palace was a scam or several years before the arrest of the owners forced the closure of the casino. While many online casino information portals continued advertising the site, they were obviously more interested in profits than taking care of their visitors.
If you search you can still find old reviews that state how great WinPalace is. Let this be a lesson that you should always gather your own information to verify the safety of any site before you play with real money.
In the end, many players say the owners got what they deserved for the way they treated their customers over the years.
Is WinPalace safe?
No, WinPalace Casino isn’t safe. The website is now closed but the casino wasn’t safe before they were forced to close.
Is WinPalace a scam?
WinPalace ran a scam for years, taking advantage of online casino players for what probably totaled more than a million dollars over that time.
Is WinPalace legit?
WinPalace ran a real online casino for many years. I even played there one time shortly after they opened. It was only for a low amount and I didn’t win so I never had to go through the cash out nightmares that many players faced. At the time the business offered a legitimate online casino, but many of their practices made them not legit as time went by.
